We would like to thank you for your interest in our down payment assistance program. We hope that we can help you in your home buying experience.

There are two basic requirements to qualify for down payment assistance:

  • Qualify for and close on a home loan that allows the buyer to receive a grant
  • The seller of the property must participate by paying back the grant amount plus a small processing fee to Buyers Fund after the buyer closes on the home

Five simple steps to homeownership:

  1. Speak with your loan officer to get pre-qualified for a mortgage loan.
  2. Go house hunting with your real estate agent.
  3. Negotiate with the seller to participate in the program and agree on a sales price.
  4. Work with your loan officer to finalize your loan. Your loan officer will apply for a Buyers Fund grant on your behalf.
  5. Sign and close on your home.

The Buyers Fund down payment assistance program requires the Seller to agree to reimburse Buyers Fund an amount equal to the grant (grant includes down payment and may include closing costs) which Buyers Fund provides to the home buyer, plus an administrative processing fee of approximately $395.00. These funds from the Seller enable Buyers Fund to continue to provide other qualified home buyers with the opportunity to achieve homeownership. The Seller's reimbursement funds from the present transaction will be used in future transactions to help other home buyers purchase their home, and to pay for corporate administrative expenses, including home buyer education, as well as sales and marketing expenses incurred to promote the program.
